The Big Event
The event took place at Ashridge House, an award-winning Grade 1 listed mansion in the heart of the Chiltern Hills. The stunning location is set within 190 acres and home to historic period rooms as well as contemporary spaces for meetings. The Orangery meeting room at the Ashridge venue perfectly accommodated for the 30 delegates. The Picasso Picture Show team building event kickstarted at 5.30pm following Totals employee meeting. Employees were then split into teams and tasked to recreate a painting from memory. This was achieved by each team painting two different sections but the task was a lot more challenging than first perceived as the team were split into the communicators and painters. Only the communicators could view the original 6ft x 4ft abstract piece and were tasked to describe the intricate details to the painters. The challenge became more difficult as the final piece needed to be created on a different scale to the original. The clock was ticking and the pressure was on for each of the delegates to complete the task on time. The event was an all-round success and ticked all the boxes. It enhanced communication, boosted morale and encouraged employees to bond a deeper level. The event addressed employee core skills such as collaboration, leadership, time management and delegation skills. The final artwork was completed by the employees on time, they kept the piece as memento and hung it on their office as a reminder of what they learned and achieved during the team building event. Testimonial
Client Total Group commented on the team building event “The event was an all-round success. The event not only got us to communicate with our team but with other colleagues as well. Communication and engagement is utterly important because if you don't communicate well between your teams you'll never get the right results. We enjoyed the event and it was a great communication exercise amongst the team and the outcome was outstanding. It's one of the best team events as I enjoy drawing and painting and found it very therapeuticâ€
