Fifteen employees from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will join forces with Nottingham-based events company Off Limits Events to improve the Amber Valley Borough Council park on Wednesday 20th July. The group of volunteers will be performing a number of tasks throughout the day, including: painting the changing rooms, maintaining the bowling green, tending to flower beds, maintaining play equipment, re-laying flooring and removing graffiti from the park.
The event, entitled ‘Changing Rooms', will be co-ordinated by Off Limits Events. Event organiser Jess Stokes commented: “Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles approached me as they wanted to do a team-building event that made a difference. I thought this event would be perfect as the project adds value to the local community and is also rewarding for Volkswagen employees. We are grateful to Amber Valley Council for allowing Volkswagen to get involved with the project and we're really excited to see the outcome.â€
The local Mayor, Mary Kerry will be in attendance to cut the ribbon for the unveiling. If you would like to come and see the results and meet the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles team, please visit Alfreton Welfare Park at 4.30pm on Wednesday 20th July for the grand unveiling and tea party.
